Description:

The checkbox element is a set of options, in the form of a dropdown. The user can select multiple options, not just one.

Advanced Properties:

In addition to the basic element properties, the muti-drop element allow for the following:

Pipe-Separated Choices:

Choices for the multiple choice element allow the form creator to separate the text displayed to users from the values stored upon form submission.  The pipe ("|") character separates the visible text from the stored value (i.e. Yes|1).

Use Case Considerations:

Checkbox elements are best used when the user input can be one or more of a predefined set of values.  The element allows the user to select any number of choices from the options.  Due to its UI configuration and multiple selections, the multi-drop element cannot be linked to a PowerSchool field.
